Shipping and Insurance

Insured both ways

Every watch ships fully insured for its full value and tracked, door to door, in both directions. Risk of loss stays with us until the carrier records the package as collected or delivered, provided it was routed to a qualifying FedEx location as set out below.

How it ships

Once terms are agreed and funds clear in full, we pack the watch and book a fully insured, tracked service. Domestic shipments go FedEx 2Day. International goes FedEx International Priority. A direct adult signature is required on every delivery, and we send tracking as soon as the label is created. In stock pieces leave within one to two business days of cleared funds unless we tell you otherwise.

Delivery and collection

Every watch is held for collection at the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center or FedEx Ship Center nearest you, and that is the default on every order. You collect it in person, present government issued identification, and sign for it yourself. Direct signature only: nobody else can sign in your place, and it will not be left at a door. We do not ship to PO Boxes.

It has to be a staffed FedEx location that FedEx runs itself. A FedEx counter inside a pharmacy or a grocery store, a Walgreens or a CVS, a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter, a FedEx OnSite point, a locker, or any private pack and ship business will not do. Those locations do not handle a package at this value under the terms our insurance is written on, and routing a watch to one voids the cover we ship it with. If the cover is void and the watch is lost or stolen, there is nothing to claim against and the loss is yours.

Tell us the FedEx location you want to collect from, or give us your address and we will find the nearest qualifying one and confirm it with you before the label is cut. If you are unsure whether a location qualifies, ask us first. It takes a minute and it is the difference between an insured watch and an uninsured one.

If a package cannot be delivered or collected and comes back to us, a $75 fee applies to cut a new label and send it out again. The same fee applies to any package that has to be rerouted after it is in transit, including a reroute away from a location that does not qualify.

Where we ship

We ship to the buyer's verified address only, meaning the address your card issuer holds on file or one we have confirmed with you directly. We do not ship to freight forwarders or third party addresses. On a first order at higher value we may ask for identification before a watch leaves.

Domestic and international

We ship within the United States and internationally, and every shipment goes the same way, fully insured and tracked, whatever the destination. We can reach any address using a United States ZIP code, including military addresses, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Some countries restrict watch imports, and where a destination cannot be insured or lawfully served we will tell you before you commit.

Customs and duties

On international shipments, import duties, taxes, brokerage, and customs fees are set by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility. They are not included in the price and are not refundable. The buyer is the importer of record. We declare every shipment accurately at full value. We do not mark a watch as a gift or understate its value, and we cannot make an exception. If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or returned to us for any reason, the buyer covers freight both ways and any charges raised along the way.

Sending a watch back to us

A watch coming back to us travels the same way it went out: fully insured for its full value, tracked, direct signature required. Do not send a watch back by ordinary post, and do not under-declare it to reduce the postage. An uninsured return that goes missing is a loss we cannot make good.

Who pays depends on why it is coming back. Where a watch was not as we described it, or where we confirm a defect covered by the limited warranty, we cover shipping in both directions and reimburse what you paid to send it in. On an ordinary return, or on work that falls outside the warranty, the shipping is yours, and we tell you that before anything begins.

Every return needs a return authorization from us before it ships. A watch sent back without one may be refused and returned at the sender's cost.

International returns. Declare the parcel as a returned item and include a copy of the original paperwork. A return declared as a new sale can raise a fresh duty bill on arrival, and that charge is the sender's to settle. Duties already paid on the original shipment are set by the destination country and are not ours to refund.

Damage in transit

Inspect the package at the FedEx counter before you sign for it. If a carton is damaged, opened, or resealed, have FedEx note it on the release form or refuse the package outright. Photograph it before you open it and keep all packaging, the receipt, and any tags.

Tell us within 48 hours of collection so we can open an insurance claim while it is still live. Every shipment is insured for its full value and a covered loss is made right. A claim reported late, or one where the packaging is gone or the damage was never noted at delivery, is routinely denied by the carrier's insurer, and we cannot cover what they refuse.
