Seiko "Captain Willard"

Ref. 6105-8119

Sold

Some watches are new to everyone who owns them. This one has only ever known a single wrist.

In 1973, someone chose this Seiko 6105-8119, strapped it on, and wore it long enough... and proudly enough, to etch their initials, [M.D.A.], into the caseback. Fifty years later, those initials are still there.

You are not just buying a watch. You are becoming the second chapter of a story that started before most of us were born.

Collectors know this reference on sight. The 6105-8119 is the original "Captain Willard," the Seiko diver Martin Sheen wore into the jungle in Apocalypse Now, and one of the most respected vintage dive watches Seiko ever built. A genuine piece of horological and film history for the people who know exactly what they are looking at.

The details: 44mm case width, 19mm lug width. Dated to May 1973. Serial 352XXX. One owner from new, with their initials etched into the caseback, part of what makes this example unrepeatable. Overall very good pre-owned condition, and the photo gallery reflects the watch honestly and in full. Fitted with a strap from Two Stitch Straps. Freshly serviced in May 2026, so it is ready for many more years of worry-free wear. Watch only. A custom strap from "Two Stitch Strap" company is also included (as pictured).

Offered by Biel Watches with authenticity guaranteed. If it is speaking to you, reach out. I am happy to walk you through every detail and help you decide if this is the one you carry forward.
